Kim has been an RN supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for over 18 years. Kim began working towards becoming an IBCLC (Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) in Spring of 2017. She believes it is important to create a stress-free experience for you and your baby by helping you achieve success in your personal goals related to breastfeeding or by assisting with the process of suppression. Her classes focus on couples gaining knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding, an understanding of their options, and preparing to return to school or work. Kim is the mother of six children—three girls and three boys.
What I would say directly to a new mom: Your breastfeeding has nothing to do with me and my agenda. I want you to look back over this part of your parenting story and have no regrets, only fond memories. How long or short you feed your baby is completely up to you! When you’re ready to discontinue breastfeeding, I’m happy to support you in any way I can to make it a smooth transition.
