Waseem Hassan Ahangar, MD
Biography
Waseem Ahangar, M.D. brings dedication and empathy to his role as a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician. In his current position as a pulmonary medicine/critical care physician, he treats adult and senior patients for a wide range of lung and respiratory diseases. He cares for patients in his office and hospital settings.
Dr. Ahangar earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Government Medical College, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India; he completed his clinical electives at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Departments of Pulmonary Medicine and Cardiology Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, PA, and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining the ChristianaCare team, Dr. Ahangar worked as an attending critical care medicine physician and pulmonary disease doctor in both inpatient and outpatient settings in North Carolina, New York, and the greater Philadelphia area.
A member of the American College of Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Ahangar is excited to join the ChristianaCare team as a pulmonary medicine/critical care physician. He is fluent in Kashmiri, Urdu, and Hindi.
