Erik S. Marshall, MD
Biography
Erik Scot Marshall, M.D. has practiced cardiovascular medicine for over twenty years and has been a member of the ChristianaCare team since 1994. As a board-certified cardiologist and the co-medical director of non-invasive cardiology for the ChristianaCare Health System, Dr. Marshall provides empathetic, experienced care to his patients in order to detect and treat chronic and acute heart conditions including heart failure, carotid artery disease, and other cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Marshall received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers)’s Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in Piscataway, NJ. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. His career in cardiology includes positions in private practice and with ChristianaCare Cardiology Consultants in Newark, DE, as well as serving as active and consulting staff for numerous hospital systems in Delaware and Maryland.
Currently residing in Maryland, Dr. Marshall is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Echocardiography. He was recognized as the ChristianaCare Health Systems’ Cardiology Fellowship Teacher of the Year in 2016.
